The name Chatzigavriil Family has for decades been a symbol of taste and quality in the fields of bakery, confectionery, and traditional halva. Since 1988, we have continued the family’s culinary tradition, reviving recipes that take us back in time to Makri in Asia Minor, where our great-grandfather, Nikolaos Chatzigavriil, made his first halva with pure ingredients and handmade care.
Today, with modern facilities and investments in technology and green energy, we continue to produce over 600 products – from fresh breads and syrupy desserts to ice creams, tahini, and Turkish delights – exporting tradition throughout Europe. Marathon Halva is the crown jewel of our production: a handmade product crafted from the finest sesame varieties, with the same respect for quality and flavor as a hundred years ago.

Our company successfully participated in the Food Expo held in Warsaw in May 2025, showcasing the rich tradition and authentic flavor of Marathon Halva. At our booth, visitors had the opportunity to sample our products—crafted with high-quality ingredients and a deep respect for tradition. Through guided tastings and fruitful meetings with industry professionals, we bolstered our international presence and forged new partnerships, reaffirming Marathon Halva as a symbol of true Greek quality.
